About Ting and Associates

Since 1987 Ting & Associates provides consulting services, diversity and inclusion training and a team of seasoned and experienced experts to empower organizations in their diversity and inclusion initiatives.  Skills and services range from designing and delivering diversity training to designing and implementing assessment surveys and strategic plans for organizational change. Programs are customized to meet the needs of the clients and produce desired outcomes. We believe in keeping it simple and producing results.  

Sara Ting’s knowledge and understanding of diversity comes from her rich experience growing up in America at a time when there were very few Asian Americans. Throughout her life she confronted the issue of diversity.  Her passion for equality and diversity grew out of her community activism. In the mid eighties she organized a city wide multi-media public service campaign promoting racial and ethnic harmony in Boston, New York City and Providence Rhode Island.  She also founded World Unity, Inc. in 1993, a non-profit organization dedicated to making an enduring contribution to the elimination of all forms of prejudice, bias and discrimination. They envision the construction of a landmark symbol showcasing a powerful message on equality as a big step toward achieving this goal.  With over 15 years in the media, 16 years in teaching and 16 years running an organization she has the knowledge and skills to empower organizations in their diversity initiatives and inclusion and help them achieve their desired outcomes.   

Why diversity training is an endless journey

Diversity training is an ongoing process that continues to empower individuals and benefit the organization.  Individuals have countless way that they are different from each other.  Fitting in and contributing to an organization that has its own culture and constant changes require adjustments.  All this diversity together provides continuous challenges and opportunities for understanding diversity and sharpening our diversity skills.
